Draft: Add kernel variant to the JSON Index

With this field, desktop installers like the UBports Installer can list different kernel variants without having to do fuzzy searching.

This is probably the worst possible way to achive this (lol).

Thanks for making this, it sounds useful. I haven't looked at the diff yet since tests are failing:

FAILED test/test_ui_images.py::test_write_index_json - TypeError: write_index_json() missing 1 required positional argument: 'kernel'
