New defualt monospace font looks pretty bad

What's the expected behaviour?

That a monospace font with minimal white-space would be default for terminals.

What's the current behaviour?

The default terminal font has tons of space between characters.

How to reproduce your issue?

Open Console or Terminal on an up-to-date pmOS edge installation.

What device are you using?

pine64-pinephonepro

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

• edge (master branch)

• v24.12

• v24.06 (supported until 2025-01-23)

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

On what environment did you encounter the issue?

Environments

• COSMIC

• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device

Can you install adwaita-fonts, that should fix it?

Upstream MR: https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/merge_requests/81597

MR is merged and it should work now after a upgrade. Feel free to re-open or open a new issue if it didn't work.
