PinePhone/Phosh: Battery unpredictable as of recent

What's the expected behaviour?

Battery reports draining from 100 to 0 when not charging and charging from 0 to 100 when charging (assuming there is no heavy load).

What's the current behaviour?

Battery level is sometimes reported as increasing when phone is not charging and makes jumps when plugging in to charge. This morning it was at 14% initially and then when I checked later 16%, and once later again at 18%. Then suddenly it was down to 10% and drained normally until I plugged the phone in and it instantly jumped to something along the lines of 24%.

How to reproduce your issue?

Use the phone and observe the battery level in Phosh.

pine64-pinephone

Additional information

I have not verified if this behaviour also is exhibited in the levels reported in /sys. Also, I only begun noticing this recently, so possibly due to a regression from a kernel update or Phosh update. Or my hardware going faulty.
