First commit should probably reworded to "remove empty...". Right now it sounds like you are removing all deviceinfo settings, even where they were configured correctly?

@Minecrell FYI: the deviceinfo_dev_touchscreen variable is not only for directfb, it's used also to create a udev rule.

Yes, but udev can categorize touchscreens automatically. Even that should not be necessary for every (sane) touchscreen driver.
