Android user agent
I don't like browser identifying itself as Android. It causes some websites offering me their android application or not work at all e.g. meet.google.com
I would appreciate more if the browser would identify itself as Linux or Linux Mobile.
It would be also nice to have menu item for switching between mobile and desktop user agent as is common on Android phone browsers.
I am not against spoofing user agent, but choice of Android is very unpleasant to me.
If we wish to identify ourselves as something more numerous, it would be more practical to identify like some more similar platform like Meemo or MaeGo.
Also I am not getting the privacy point mentioned in related issues #24 (closed) #11 (closed)
Is firefox-esr meant to be used over Tor? Changing just user agent is not doing its job. When I visit website whatismybrowser.com it still successfully fingerprints firefox-esr tweaked with mobile-config-firefox to run on Linux OS even though user agent tells Android.
If I would like to use Tor I would use torbrowser as I would expect it to resist fingerprinting better.
When I am using Firefox without Tor I would prefer to proudly tell I am running Linux machine to be seen in market share, not to be offered Android applications and have meet.google.com working.
Also to the privacy concern - when I edit user agent myself to have some website working I probably end up with absolutely unique user agent string. If the website would be working with default user agent string there would be no motivation for me to change default and I would share user agent string with thousands of users.
