Kobo Clara HD not booting

What's the expected behaviour?
Normal boot, using copy of the original sd card.
What's the current behaviour?
Device won't even finish booting, screen flashes twice if on fbkeyboard, otherwise no activity unless I extract the waveform and put it into the appropriate folder myself (at which point, the screen will flash twice when trying to boot and than not boot). In both cases the activity led will keep on flashing.
How to reproduce your issue?
I don't know, I've just tried to install pmos on a copy of the sdcard with an intact waveform blob.
