how to disable physical "return" and "tab" buttons ?

What's the expected behaviour?

physical buttons, as "return/back" + "alt/tab" button next to home button, on samsung devices, are still active even if they can't interact directly with the system, and wakes up the screen

What's the current behaviour?

when touching "return/back" and "tab" buttons (aka the two next to home button on samsung), it wakes up the device, even if they can't interact with the system

How to reproduce your issue?

touching one of those physical buttons will wake up the screen

What device are you using?

samsung devices, probably not only

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

  • edge (master branch)

  • v24.06

  • v23.12 (supported until 2024-07-16)

  • I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

  • GNOME Shell on Mobile

How did you get postmarketOS image?

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

Additional information

physical buttons located next to the home button of the device (only home have a "common button", both others are "touch buttons")
