Newer Lenovo-21bx builds get stuck on loading screen when booting over usb

What's the expected behaviour?

When I put the prebuilt image 20240613-0359-postmarketOS-edge-gnome-3-lenovo-21bx.img.xz on a usb-c drive and booted it on my ThinkPad x13s the device booted up like normal.

What's the current behaviour?

When I put prebuilt images 20240725-1332-postmarketOS-edge-gnome-3-lenovo-21bx.img and 20240801-1513-postmarketOS-edge-gnome-3-lenovo-21bx.img.xz on the same usb-c drive the device throws two errors.

One warning says, ERROR: Boot partition not found!

The other warning says console=null is not supported. When I continue booting by typing in 'pmos_continue_boot', the device gets stuck on "Loading..." and nothing else ever happens.

How to reproduce your issue?

Download the prebuilt images 20240725-1332-postmarketOS-edge-gnome-3-lenovo-21bx.img and/or 20240801-1513-postmarketOS-edge-gnome-3-lenovo-21bx.img.xz

Flash the images on a usb-c drive

Try to boot them.

• edge (master branch)

• v24.06

• v23.12 (supported until 2024-07-16)

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

• from https://images.postmarketos.org
• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device
