Librem5: Scrolling with touch input in app drawer is choppy on Phosh

    Describe your issue

    When opening the app drawer, and using touch input to scroll through the apps, it is very choppy. Previously (some weeks ago), this was not the case. Now the app drawer is jumping up and down to the point it is hard to scroll to the app I am looking for.

    What's the expected behaviour?

    The scrolling should be smooth as before, and follow the direction of the touch input.

    What's the current behaviour?

    The scrolling alternates between following the touch input direction and the opposite direction, resulting in very choppy scrolling.

    How to reproduce your issue?

    Open the app drawer and scroll with touch input on phosh.

    What device are you using?

    Librem 5 Evergreen

    On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

    • edge (master branch)

    • v24.06

    • v23.12 (supported until 2024-07-16)

    • I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

    On what environment did you encounter the issue?

    Environments

    • GNOME Shell on Mobile
    • Phosh
    • Plasma Mobile

    How did you get postmarketOS image?

    What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

    Additional information

    As I have not seen anyone else complain, it might only be on my phone. I have set a wallpaper, but scrolling worked fine before, even with wallpaper set. I have also tested with removing the wallpaper.

    I am happy to share any more information/logs if it may help.
