gnome-calculator on v20.05: disable redundant keyboard

don't display the on-screen keyboard for gnome-calculator, it has its own keyboard already and it looks broken otherwise.

maybe it can be done by setting an environment variable in the desktop launcher file.

Have some beginner questions to ask!

Would this first require pulling gnome-calculator into pmaports so that an APKBUILD could be created with some overrides/patches? As far as I see gnome-calculator just comes from upstream alpine.

And wrt keyboard disabling, was wondering if there is any prior art for this in phosh already? I found https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/phosh/-/issues/75 after a quick search.

EDIT: also found https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1326/block-caribou/ which may help solution in gnome

hi @cfebs! the phosh issue from your link seems unrelated.

I did not look into this yet and thought we had forked gnome-calculator to our v20.05 branch - but apparently we do not (unlike lots of other gnome apps, see #690 (closed)).

I appreciate that you look into this, but we need to get the pinephone factory image done very soon and might want to include a fix for this if it is not much effort. It probably takes more time to explain what possibly needs to be done than looking into it and doing it, so in this case I suggest to take a look at other issues instead, if you are interested.
