LightDM is broken when using a dock with HDMI cable connected on Pinephone.

What's the expected behaviour?

When I click on 1 in lightdm, 1 is clicked.

What's the current behaviour?

When I click on 1 in lightdm, usually 3 is clicked, sometimes it clicks on 2 and sometimes 1. video

How to reproduce your issue?

1. power off the phone
2. connect the dock from Convergence Edition to the phone and connect it with an HDMI cable to a monitor.
3. power on the phone

What device are you using?

Pinephone CE postmarketOS edition 3GB/32GB

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

Additional information

I can get it to behave this way every time I have a dock with an HDMI cable connected. On the other end of the cable is a monitor, but it is not working right now (#735 (closed) ), however I believe the phone sees it as a connected screen.

I really think we should revert the LightDM greeter for everything... Sorry @raatty but it causes too many issues. Thoughts team?

hmmm i have a braveheart so no hdmi out so cant debug this is really odd tho, if it was consistantly entering 3 when u press one id say some how the touch is rotated independently of the screen

Weird, for me the entire system visibly freezes (haven't attempted to ssh into the phone) in LightDM with a HDMI cable connected.

Today I noticed the clicks are not actually in a random place. When I click on the left, 1 gets clicked, when I click a few milimeters to the right, 2 gets clicked etc. I think the touch zone is only about 1cm wide, but the height is correct.

My guess is that touchscreen input is not "mapped to" the internal screen display.

I must say I'm really not sure how we would do that. If the deviceinfo provides enough info, we could have a deviceinfo_build function for the device APKBUILDs, that would create an X.org config to setup this? And arguably a sway config too?

The underlying issue would be quite interesting to solve. Really.
