Just tried this on castor with plasma-mobile (sideload via TWRP). I have been able to reach Plasma (which is already a lot better than anything I could achieve with the current castor-windy or !1240 (closed)) but then it crashed.
EDIT: Seems that it shuts down because battery is at 0%. This doesn't seem to be correct (TWRP shows ~18%). When connect to USB, it shows charging and does not shut down. Touch input is not working right now, so I couldn't test further.
EDIT2: The touch input magically started working.

Edited by AdministratorRegarding battery at 0%: The "fuel gauge" on castor is provided by something called "bms", @opendata26 wrote a driver for that and it generally works but I've seen quite weird behavior with it on my own devices so the driver will have to be improved before it's added. Just keep your device plugged in for now
The graphics is relatively unstable on all msm8974 devices on mainline unfortunately, so there's not much I can do there currently.
Thanks for testing!

Is it possible to set the scaling for plasma mobile (see https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Plasma_Mobile#Scaling) as part of the installation? I'm currently using 3x.

Is there someone who knows for sure? Maybe @PureTryOut?
Apart from this: What are the open TODOs in this MR?

Not much, mostly testing if https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/linux-postmarketos/-/commit/a6b20b674525a45b5af8be954fca602d6a0b2a28 breaks other devices (because it's required on some sony msm8974 devices)
