Don't we need to solve https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/postmarketos-release-upgrade/-/issues/12 and https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/postmarketos-release-upgrade/-/issues/11 before upgrading?

Thanks, I forgot about these.
https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/postmarketos-release-upgrade/-/issues/11
Is implemented in version 1.6.0 (https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/postmarketos-release-upgrade/-/commit/7398ca895da0541c1b6ffaca07d395555d2f163f).
https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/postmarketos-release-upgrade/-/issues/12
Will be fixed in https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/postmarketos-release-upgrade/-/merge_requests/15. This is "only" about CI though, so we don't need to wait for this one before merging the upgrade here.
I think it's ready to go now, @pabloyoyoista can you take another look?

Thanks for this! I just did the backports. First time doing this, so hope I didn't do anything wrong

Edited by Ghost UserSeems this happened too early. 23.12 isn't released yet but people running the tool now do get the update. That seems to be unwanted behaviour.
We should probably revert the upgrade.

We should probably revert the upgrade.
As you noted in chat, that would only work if people use
apk upgrade -a
. I'd just leave it as-is for now, it's a bit before the release is out, but to be fair the script has a big warning that heavily encourages people to look at the blog for known issues before proceeding - and if there is no release blog post, it should be obvious that this isn't out yet. We'll do it right with the next release, I've adjusted the release TODO list.By Oliver Smith on 2023-12-06T18:22:11
