    anyhow, the problem is that /dev/mtd already exists when it tries to ln -sf /dev/block/* to /dev on the TWRP 3.1.0 ROM I had created based on the LegacyXperia port of LineageOS

    and:

    the TWRP 2.4.3 ROM that people use normally uses very old software and doesn't support mount --binding files, only directories so it fails even earlier

    To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
