pmbootstrap qemu gives kvm_arm_vcpu_init failed: Invalid argument

Host system: Pinebook Pro with up-to-date Manjaro ARM. Installed pmbootstrap on host, init, install, then “pmbootstrap qemu” fails. Failed pmbootstrap command is in the full logs linked at the end at line 1239.

Error msg isn’t in the logs as it was sent to stdout:

[12:43:48] * (serial) in this console (stdout/stdin) kvm_arm_vcpu_init failed: Invalid argument

I tried running the failed command outside of pmbootstrap but get the same error. Removing either -cpu option does not fix. Removing -enable-kvm changes the error, instead of kvm_arm_vcpu failed, it fails because of graphics drivers missing.
