The first blog post for postmarketOS written by @ollieparanoid was posted on the 26th of May, 2017. As it's currently May in 2019, this means we exist almost 2 years! I think it's time for another blog post, what do you guys think?

dark mode for the homepage* (ideally some postmarketOS on sourcehut progress (bpo), but that isn't in a presentable shape at all right now. a lot of effort went already in the current php codebase, but unfortunately it has some hard to fix bugs, and no test cases exist for it, so it is hard to continue form there. I've started writing a second version in python in a new branch and with help from Martijn, to make it similar to the pmbootstrap codebase and therefore make it easier to maintain by people who are also hacking on pmbootstrap. The idea is to make it easy to test from the beginning, and start early with including test cases for everything. If I should find time to get that into a presentable form however, it would be great to feature that in the blog post, too.)
more CI in pmaports.git
In general, I would be very happy if somebody could jump in and help out with the blog post. Then I would have more time for reviewing MRs/answering issues/fixing bugs and incompatibilities with Alpine and especially for working on bpo.
The following things need to be done:
extend the list above with more things that need to be mentioned, which I forgot
download related media from the chat (images, videos)
organize the list of things to mention into sections for the blog post, and insert the images and videos
create a merge request for that WIP stuff
(wait for feedback on the sections, possibly reorder them etc.)
start writing text for the sections
Even if only some of these steps were done (e.g. until the WIP MR with sections), it would already be a great help.
Looks like I'll start writing the blog post some time soon, glad to have such cool things to show off (along with all the other great stuff everyone has been doing, which is also important, but oftentimes not so easy to present). I'm motivated as ever and really looking forward to getting this out to the world
I may finish postmarket-ui-shelli, am running it now from pmaports local and seems to work great on my nexus 5. So I could write up a bit about that if you like.
Yes, please do that! It would be great to have some photos to show off, and ideally not only from the lockscreen, but also from the logged in state and from starting applications. Most interesting would be seeing the purism applications, that have been packaged along with the phosh UI.
Martijn mentioned, that you need to set a number as password to get past the lockscreen.
I'm not sure what possibly I can tell about this, literally it is just some refactoring and fixing some small issues. Except this photo of running hwcomposer test and maybe this? there was not much success, I still could not get plasma/kwin running with it (yet).
@ollieparanoid if you have an idea what shall we tell about this, I could try to write some text.
