Redesign homepage header
We are about to drastically reduce the count of links in the homepage header, to make it much easier to navigate. The bulk of links will be moved to a new "explore" page that sorts them nicely categorized (!259 (merged)).
I think this would be a good opportunity to also update the header of the homepage. It is quite large, and it has basically a second logo in the background, on which another logo sits on top.
I also played around with making a new header out of the pile of phones t-shirt design, but it ended up being too "90s grunge", we probably rather want something modern. But for reference, which buttons remain and how they could be placed (compare to current design):
what we need:
- preferably svgs for everything
- a "normal" and "dark mode" variation of all images
- images:
- a header (width: 1024px, height: ~ 300px would be good, so we can make the site adaptive, with more buttons below the logo and then show more of the background; on desktops we would probably show a bit more than 100px if we use similar font sizes to my version above; I'm also open to variations)
- a "separator" image (1024x10), the thing between the title and content (in the screenshot: title: Explore postmarketOS, content: "Knowledge" etc.). This can just be a part of the header image, currently we use the header image
- a footer background (width: 1024px, height: ~ 300px)
@dikasetyaprayogi, since you have been contributing a lot of amazing artwork (have you seen how beautiful your meadow wallpaper looks like in this thread?), would you like to give a try? let me know if you have any questions :)
