Describe your issue

What's the expected behaviour?

The notification LED should blink from the time a new notification (such as an email or SMS) comes in until you lock your phone next. The notifcation LED should continue blinking even when the phone is asleep. The notifcation LED should not blink just because the phone is aboout to fall asleep.

What's the current behaviour?

The notification LED blinks when there is a notification available for you to read but only until the phone falls asleep. Further, the notifcation LED blinks for 10-15 seconds every time the phone falls asleep meaning that the vast majority of blinking that the notification LED does is just to tell me that my phone is about to fall asleep.

How to reproduce your issue?

Turn on a pine with a simcard using phosh. Let the phone sit and fall asleep so that you can see the notification LED blinking just before the phone falls asleep. Send yourself an SMS from another phone then check your pinephone again and notice that once it is asleep, the notification LED does not blink despite the fact that you have a new text message.

Very much UI and application specific. We can't do much about this, please report your suggestions to the upstream projects like Phosh (which you seem to be using) and the various apps you use.

I'm not sure if blinking is possible while the pinephone sleeps, but at least having the LED constantly on is possible as shown with Sxmo's lockscreen while in deep sleep.

Agreed. We would need to disable the notification for "phone is going to sleep soon".

I also agree with @PureTryOut that this all is best solved upstream, if possible.
