xiaomi-fire: Touchscreen not working

    What's the expected behaviour?

    Touchscreen working, outputting in evtest

    What's the current behaviour?

    Touchscreen is not working, no outputs in evtest

    How to reproduce your issue?

    Boot up the device, attempt doing anything via the touchscreen. It just doesn't work

    What device are you using?

    xiaomi-fire

    On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

    • edge (master branch)

    • v23.12

    • v23.06 (supported until 2024-01-18)

    • I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

    On what environment did you encounter the issue?

    Environments

    • GNOME Shell on Mobile
    • Phosh
    • Plasma Mobile
    • Sxmo (Wayland/Sway) Please post the output of sxmo_version.sh
    • Other: MATE and XFCE4

    How did you get postmarketOS image?

    What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

    fts_log.txt

    the fts_ts complains that there is no focaltech_ts_fw_.bin, I tried putting it into /vendor/firmware, lib/firmware/postmarketos, /system/lib/firmware, none of it worked.

      Who puts firmware in that directory?

      Anyways, I guess I'll try it.

      Yeah seems like nobody knows the solution for this issue. I guess I'll close it.

      Quick try: check if you find firmware file in /lib/firmware instead of the directories listed above.
