lomiri: sdm845: freezing after plugging in USB cord

Describe your issue

While running Lomiri on the Oneplus 6T, connecting a USB cord causes the display to turn off and the device to freeze. During the freeze, the device does not accept ssh calls and any UI action taken before the freeze pauses until the freeze ends and the action continues (eg. swiping open the app grid). To unfreeze for a few milliseconds any hardware button can be pressed.

What's the expected behaviour?

The device doesn't freeze.

The device freezes.

How to reproduce your issue?

Plug in a USB cord to the device.

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

• edge (feature/lomiri branch)

• v23.12

• v23.06 (supported until 2024-01-18)

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

Additional information

I am going to try to get dmesg logs from the device but am having trouble getting them from the running device because the freeze makes it hard to run ssh.
