samsung charging without automatical poweron ?

What's the expected behaviour?

phone not powered on automatically when powered-off then plugged in usb

What's the current behaviour?

when phone is powered off, to plug it in usb automatically power-it on (instead of just charging)

How to reproduce your issue?

just plug it in usb when powered-off

What device are you using?

samsung devices, msm 8916

• v23.12

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

How did you get postmarketOS image?

• from https://images.postmarketos.org
• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

Could you provide the specific model that you're using?

I have this same problem with many of my devices. I'd definitely consider it a papercut we need to fix as it's surprising behavior for users I think.

it's not "many of my devices" ; it's : "all devices running not stock/default factory firmware". Lineageos, postmarketos... or even others OS, i think only the default/original OS only could give a kind of "value/data" awaited from the system to tell him "just charging, don't power-on now", and if it's not received, it starts booting (i guess).
