Charging board is heating up on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 (asus-xt00d)

Describe your issue

Phone heats excessively when device is powered on around charging board area. Charging and battery monitoring itself were fine. It is just something appears to be short circuited when running mainline kernel.

How to reproduce your issue?

Flash the latest mainline kernel port.

What device are you using?

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 (asus-x00td) with 4GB of RAM and 64GB Storage.

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

• edge (master branch)

• v24.06

• v23.12 (supported until 2024-07-16)

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

On what environment did you encounter the issue?

Environments

• GNOME Shell on Mobile
• Phosh
• Plasma Mobile
• Sxmo (Wayland/Sway) Please post the output of sxmo_version.sh
• Other: Sxmo-de-dwm

How did you get postmarketOS image?

• from https://images.postmarketos.org
• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

Pmaports was at commit b464f1bd from 2024/08/03

As mentioned in matrix, issue likely LCD related and it is resolved after !5575 (merged) is merged.
