[systemd] flatpak apps can't be started via gnome-shell
On systemd builds, apps installed via flatpak don't see to start when launched from the shell, only when invoked from the console.
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information

I assume this is a duplicate of #3400 (closed) , where dbus-activated flatpaks (e.g. run via GNOME Shell) aren't integrated into the environment. This doesn't affect all flatpaks.
