[samsung-a5] KDE Plasma 6: No incoming SMS

What's the expected behaviour?

There was duplication of SMS in KDE Plasma 5

What's the current behaviour?

I've checked everything I know:

1. Spacebar: no incoming SMS.
2. Modem Manager GUI: no incoming SMS though an outgoing SMS was delivered without problems!
3. mmcli -m 0 --messaging-list-sms shows only a couple of old messages saved in SIM-card.

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

• edge (master branch)

• v24.12

• v24.06 (supported until 2025-01-23)

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

Which init system are you using?

• OpenRC

How did you get postmarketOS image?

• from https://images.postmarketos.org
• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

Additional information

It's key functionality nowadays 'cause lots of services rely on identification codes sent by SMS. Without it the phone is barely useful.

I've checked another mobile operator and there's no issues in receiving SMS.

In Android there's no issues with both operators.

Plasma 5 has also stopped receiving SMS with the 'problematic' operator. Though a year ago there was no issues. There are also some problems with USSD which is very unstable right now.

The main difference between the 2 operators is that the 'problematic' operator has recently switched its 3G network off. I'll soon test it in another region where the 3G network of the 'problematic' operator is still on.
