Update: Removed the !strip and more config options as well, but the package is still 21.1mb and boot.img generated is 10mb, before this it was within the 8mb limit that the device has, any ideas on how we can shrink it further?

I would recommend the following changes to the config:

CONFIG_KERNEL_XZ=y
# CONFIG_CC_OPTIMIZE_FOR_PERFORMANCE is not set
CONFIG_CC_OPTIMIZE_FOR_SIZE=y

Tested on Nokia N900 - runs fine

Do I see this correct in pmaports, beside the n900, only samsung-espresso{7,10} use this kernel?

Does it make sense to wait for these devices to be tested as well, or are we "go" for merge?

It is ready to merge. It was mostly worked on/for and tested on espresso mainly. N900 testing was simply to ensure we didn't accidentally break something else
