args.arch_native: remove

Administrator requested to merge unused_args into master

Like described in !2113 (comment 681424658), this removes arch_native from args.
Also removes the args parameter from those functions not needing it anymore.

Part of #1879

First commit removes some usages of args which are not needed (unrelated to arch_native).

Whats the best way to ensure this won't break CI or something else like !2114 (merged) did?
