Nheko 0.11.3 - Useful matrix client, lots of improvements over the version in stable today
I would prefer if we at least ask upstream about backporting this upgrade in Alpine. Surely Alpine users could benefit from having this upgrade backported too.
Yeah the thought did cross my mind, and you've convinced me to just go for it..
There were a lot of changes (in addition to bug fixes) between 0.10.x and
0.11.x... so I wasn't sure how upstream would feel about that. Anyways, let's
see what happens :D
v22.12 has version 42 of GNOME Software, and there are way too many components involved. We'd have to backport 4 or 5 packages, and I am pretty sure the appstream-downloader is not there. I believe this is way too much work. But you can give it a try if you want. I just wrote a blogpost about these things, so you can get an idea of the components involved from https://blogs.gnome.org/pabloyoyoista/2023/03/05/gs-and-pmos-a-bumpy-road/ if you want to give it a try
I know its late for SP2 but I want to recommend Tuba (currently only in Alpine Edge). Version 0.2 was just released. Tuba is a fork of the (now unmaintained) mastodon app Tootle.
Prepared the service pack merge request now, and started building it locally. Reviews welcome: !4001 (closed)
I've also added the latest mobile-config-firefox, which fixes compatibility with the non-ESR firefox. (Developed that yesterday and did extensive testing.)
In order to fix the waydroid compatibility, the following kernels needed to be adjusted (kernel config option changes). I've just upgraded them to the current state of edge - to maintainers of the kernels/people who recently modified them, let me know if this is fine or not (i.e. known issues or has not seen enough testing).
