    Sorry to bother you @gnumdk,

but we've detected that this merge request hasn't seen any recent activity. If you need help or want to discuss your approach with developers you can ping @postmarketOS. You can also ask on matrix in #devel:postmarketos.org or #postmarketos-devel on OFTC. If no further activity occurs in this MR, postmarketOS developers may close it in the future.

    Thanks for your contribution.

Thank you for the MR! Just my two cents on this:

    • UI Density: IMHO, the density has been fine on postmarketOS, Arch, ... but not on Debian, as Debian includes a patch that sets it to 1. I support setting it to 2 in mobile-config-firefox, but it may not solve your problem as long as Debian carries that patch: https://sources.debian.org/src/firefox-esr-mobile-config/4.3.2-2/debian/patches/0001-mobile-config-autoconfig-add-Mobian-preferences.patch/#L22

    • Tracker button: I opted to not hide it when I last contributed to this project - I felt that it would be handy for the privacy-orientated audience and that it can be handy to unbreak broken sites. If we can offer that in another way, I am fine with the change.

    • Tab width: This has been discussed, e.g. in #42 (closed). As the person that once upon a time came up with the hack to increase the tab-width to force the tab menu as a common tab switcher, I still think this was a good choice, but I am obviously biased. With "correct" density, I still believe it is more usable than having teeny-tiny-tabs with close buttons on them to switch between tabs through vertical scrolling. I suggest you to try out https://codeberg.org/user0/Mobile-Friendly-Firefox and see if you think that the tweaks user0 applied make it better for you. I still have the (mid- to long-term) goal of bringing more of that experience (spacing improvements, a tab counter) to mobile-config-firefox. Also, the vertical tabs feature coming with FF 131 IIRC may be interesting for re-use on mobile.
