starting iwd causes hard reboot to "QUALCOMM CrashDump Mode"

What's the expected behaviour?

iwd wifi backend starts successfully and manages WiFi

What's the current behaviour?

device instantly reboots when iwd is started, and stops at the QUALCOMM CrashDump Mode screen

How to reproduce your issue?

$ sudo apk add !wpa_supplicant
$ sudo service iwd start

What device are you using?

oneplus-enchilada

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

• edge (master branch)

• v23.12

• v23.06

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

On what environment did you encounter the issue?

Environments

• GNOME Shell on Mobile
• Phosh

How did you get postmarketOS image?

• from https://images.postmarketos.org
• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

2023-06 (? maybe earlier?)

Additional information

Haven't been able to collect any since it immediately does a hard reboot
