Setting plasma mobile wallpaper doesn't always work

What's the expected behaviour?

Setting the wallpaper on first boot works. The script set-plasma-wallpaper.sh that I wrote should do it, and it worked fine in qemu. However on the pinephone it did not, apparently plasma-apply-wallpaperimage can exit with 0 if it does not work too, and then set-plasma-wallpaper.sh fails. This is all a hack anyway and should be replaced when we have a better method.

See https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487816, making a custom look and feel package sounds promising.

Until we have something better I think we should keep the current hack, it seems to work most of the time at least.

• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

Workaround: run plasma-apply-wallpaperimage /usr/share/wallpapers/postmarketos (or another wallpaper) manually from the started up Plasma session.

Removing the v24.06 label as it's no longer supported.
