Connecting to combined WPA2/WPA3 network doesn't work for me

What's the expected behaviour?

Connecting to wpa2 works.

What's the current behaviour?

Connecting to WPA2 does not work, tested with a combined WPA2/WPA3 network.

Connecting to an open network worked successfully.

What device are you using?

pine64-pinephone 1.2a

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

• edge (master branch)

• v23.12

• v24.06

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

On what environment did you encounter the issue?

Environments

• GNOME Shell on Mobile
• Phosh
• Plasma Mobile

How did you get postmarketOS image?

• from https://images.postmarketos.org
• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

20240605-1708-postmarketOS-v24.06-plasma-mobile-5-pine64-pinephone.img.xz

Additional information

• Nothing useful in dmesg or syslog.
• I wonder if more people are affected by this, might be that my pinephone is just a bit broken hardware-wise by now
