[oneplus-enchilada] Audio in "Earpiece" extremely distorted?

Since about 3-4 Oct 2024, the audio from the internal "Earpiece" has become very distorted

What's the expected behaviour?

Make sure audio output is set to "Earpiece - built-in audio". Test audio by pressing the "Test" button. Audio is expected to be crisp and clear (as it used to be).

What's the current behaviour?

Audio output to the "Earpiece" is extremely distorted.

How to reproduce your issue?

Make sure audio output is set to "Earpiece - built-in audio". Test audio by pressing the "Test" button. The distortion is persistent after a reboot.

What device are you using?

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

  • edge (master branch)

  • v24.06

  • I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

On what environment did you encounter the issue?

How did you get postmarketOS image?

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)
