Default font in console on pre-built images

What's the expected behaviour?

When using the pre-built images, that a decent font is selected in the console as default

What's the current behaviour?

The system default font is used and as it is a not a monospaced font it does not look nice to the user.

With the installed Source Code Mono elected it looks much better s.

What device are you using?

google-krane/google-kukui

On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?

• edge (master branch)

• v24.12

• v24.06 (supported until 2025-01-23)

• I confirm that the issue still is present after running sudo apk upgrade -a

• I built it using pmbootstrap
• It was preinstalled on my device

What's the build date of the image? (in yyyy-mm-dd format)

Additional information

I do not remember seeing the problem on my xiaomi-beryllium, when I installed phosh (still as openrc-version) in 2024/03

added chromeos graphics release-edge systemd ui-phosh labels

Looking at the settings for fonts in "postmarketOS-Tweaks" I found this:

This is the same as #3618 (closed). Did you reboot after updating?

Yes upgrading and rebooting did not change it.

Seems to be missing adwaita-fonts in the phosh pre-built image.

Interesting, well I did install adwaita-fonts as well as updating. So I guess updating alone doesn't fix it.

Which version is gsettings-desktop-schemas?

For me it's 48.0-r0.

Is this still an issue?
